Notes from the workshop (and beyond)
The journal is a mix of:
Written reflections
Project notes and process breakdowns
Videos from the workshop
Thoughts on sustainability, waste, and making responsibly
The quiet frustrations and small wins that don’t usually make it online
Entries aren’t scheduled. They appear when they’re ready.
You don’t need to read everything. Dip in where it resonates.
A place to slow things down.
I've decided to publish these in a dyslexic friendly font, for those fellow dyslexics out there I hope it helps. (ps this might or might not be proof read by Ai) lol
This journal exists because I needed somewhere quieter.
For a long time, making felt tied to outcomes — finished projects, usefulness, productivity, justification. Even the things I enjoyed started to feel like they needed a reason to exist. A result. A point.
This is an attempt to step away from that.
What you’ll find here is not a plan, a course, or a polished body of work. It’s a record of process. Of making things slowly, sometimes badly, sometimes not at all. Of noticing what happens when the pressure to optimise is removed.
Some entries will be about things made in the workshop. Others will be about ideas, doubts, or pauses. There will be unfinished projects, half-formed thoughts, and moments where the most honest thing to write is “nothing happened, and that was the point.”
I’m sharing this publicly, but quietly. Not to build an audience, and not to turn it into content. Simply because reflection feels more real when it’s written as if someone else might read it — even if they never do.
There’s no schedule here. No promise of consistency. Just a commitment to honesty and attention.
If you’re someone who makes things, thinks about making, or feels the pull to slow down in a world that keeps speeding up — you’re welcome to read along.
This is where I’m starting.
We’ll see where it goes.
